NCURA Region I Mentor Cohort Pilot Program

The purpose of the mentor cohort is for participants to learn from each other resulting in enhancing their professional network and skills while continuing to contribute to the Research Administration profession and NCURA.

Pilot program period: 7/1/24 – 12/31/24

  • Application close date: 5/24/24

  • Time Commitment: Estimated three hours (max) per month in each month of the program. The program will consist of a monthly professional development focus session, a monthly 1:1 mentor/mentee session (varying pairs), complete on of monthly feedback surveys, and a program evaluation survey. This estimation does not include any potential optional opportunities.

  • Participants: The application process is open to with interest. The term “mentee” refers to participants with less than five years of research administration experience. “Mentor” refers to participants with five or more years of experience in research administration. This session has a max of eight participants (four mentors, four mentees).

  • Selection process: Personally identifiable information will be redacted by the Curriculum Committee before review/selection by the Professional Development Committee. The blind review is intended to reduce bias and ensure impartiality in the participant selection process. Applicants will be notified of their application status on or before 6/15/24.
