NCURA Region 1 - FRA/PRA Travel Award

Workshop Days & AI Symposium: March 21, 2026

FRA Conference: March 19-20, 2026

PRA Conference: March 22-23, 2026

Conference Site: San Juan, Puerto Rico

Amount: $1,500 each (two grants)

Travel awards are intended to support the career growth of individuals new to the field of research administration and/or those whose institutions would not be able to support their participation without the travel award. 

Application access opens the week of 12/15/25.

Application details:

1.          The region strongly encourages applications from individuals who have been in the field less than 2 years.

2.          NCURA membership is required to receive an award and applicants must be part of Region 1.

3.          Applicants must have been working in research administration for a minimum of 6 months at the time of application.

4.          Applicants must not have received a travel award within the past 3 years.

5.          A letter of support from your supervisor is required.

6.          The application consists of 3 short answer questions as well as some basic biographical information.

7.          The application form should take about 10 minutes to complete.
